Auction Rules

Sub 48 hours until the Writers for Hope Auction goes live! I'm immensely excited and am hoping you're feeling the same.

We have a total of THIRTY FOUR amazing donors and THIRTY NINE awesome auction items to bid on. These prizes have been mentioned briefly in the donor intros, but tomorrow a comprehensive list, including any genre restrictions or whatnot, will be going up first thing tomorrow. Comment sections in each auction item listing will remain closed until 12:00am EDT on Wednesday, April 23rd.

After that, let the bidding commence!

If you're interested in an auction item, you can bid right in the comment section starting at the stroke of midnight. All bidding will start at $10, which is the amount of money needed for RAINN to help one survivor take the first steps toward reclaiming their life.

Once you've placed your bid, be sure to check back in throughout the day. Bidding will continue until 11:59pm EDT on the 23rd, so you have twenty four hours to secure the highest bid on your favorite item or items.

On the morning of the 24th, I'll be posting a list with all of the highest bidders and the prizes they've won. After the names are announced, I'll ask all winners to go to my RAINNmaker page and donate the money they bid. This way the money goes straight to RAINN without having to deal with any middleman.

Once a winner's name shows up on the page, I will email him or her with further details regarding claiming whichever truly fantastic prize was won.

If you're not a writer, but know one you'd like to do something nice for, feel free to bid! And if you are neither a writer, nor know any writers, but are interested in helping a truly wonderful organization do some great work - first of all, THANK YOU - you are more than welcome to make a donation on the RAINNmaker page. Every little bit helps and is extremely appreciated!

Hopefully this is all clear enough, but if you need any further clarification, leave your questions in the comments section and I'll answer them as quickly as possible!

Last, but not least, here's a little info on where the proceeds are heading, in their own words:
