Donor Intros: Day Nine!

*Cues up "Working for the Weekend" and sock slides across the room*

I don't think it will ever matter what stage of life I'm in. There will always be something exciting about Friday.

Today's something exciting? These amazing donors.

Marie Meyer

Marie Meyer was a Language Arts teacher for fourteen years. She spends her days in the classroom and her nights writing heartfelt new adult romances that will leave readers clamoring for more. She is a member of RWA and the St. Louis Writers Guild. Marie’s short fiction won honorable mentions from the St. Louis Writers Guild in 2010 and 2011. She is a proud mommy and enjoys helping her oldest daughter train for the Special Olympics, making up silly stories with her youngest daughter, and binging on weeks of DVR’d television shows with her husband.

Dannie Morin

Dannie Morin is an addictions therapist with a writing problem. By day she alternates between counseling teens and wrangling a very sassy toddler. By night she writes, critiques, and edits like a boss. When she’s not doing those things, she’s a compulsive participant in the Carolinas Region of SCBWI and a regular Snarky Sue in online Pitch Contests. Dannie pens young adult and new adult fiction in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is represented by John M. Cusick of The Greenhouse Literary Agency.

Emmanuelle Morgen

Emmanuelle Morgen joined Stonesong as an agent in January 2012. Previously she was an agent at Judith Ehrlich Literary and Wendy Sherman Associates, and an editor at Fodor’s, the travel division of Random House. She enjoys developing long-term relationships with her clients, working closely with them to build their literary careers.

Emmanuelle represents adult and children’s fiction, as well as narrative nonfiction in the areas of memoir, psychology, sociology, and popular science. In children’s books, she is looking for young adult and middle grade novels. In adult books, she is looking for women’s fiction, historical fiction, romance, and a certain type of thriller in which a team of people or a partnership battle impossible odds.
